Make your meter spin backwards!

One really cool thing about solar shingles or entire solar roofs is that they can make your electric meter spin backwards. Yes, this means that the electric company would owe you money. This is most likely during times of peak sunlight, or when your energy needs are low. You could go on vacation in the summer and come back to find that the electric company owes you hundreds of dollars that your solar roofing, or other built-in photo voltaic (BIPV) generated!
